The TUEE Collaboratory was established as a non-profit corporation in November in 2024 and is currently being established as a 501(c)(3) that is expected to be completed in early 2025.
The purpose of the TUEE Collaboratory is to establish a student-centered active-learning environment for engineering and computer science undergraduate students with a current focus on students at large universities. The program enables students to participate in student-lead projects, programs, activities and events, enhancing their skills and experience to enter their chosen professional workplace as a practicing engineer.
All courses, programs and other academic activities should be conducted as planned throughout the two year duration of the pilot program. The University and its faculty should continue to offer their currently planned courses, academic requirements should remain the same, and student participation in the TUEE Collaboratory should be treated as a technical elective at universities participating in the pilot project through June 2027.
